Mormon Tea
Habitat: Mormon Tea is found in Western Colorado high desert areas. It is also native to the adjacent southwestern states.

Edibility: Inedible

Color: Green

Description:
A Green shrub which grows up to 4 feet tall. Ephedra is a powerful stimulant which was once used by natives and in medicines. It is not recommended as there have been deaths associated with Ephedra based medicines. The FDA banned the sale of Ephedra based supplements in 2004. Survivorman once made Mormon tea from this plant in his Canyonlands episode.
